CD-6 alert: Return of the attack ad

Cue the Star Wars music (again). The leading Democrat candidate in the race to replace Tom Price just got hit with another ad referencing an unfortunate video that shows him dressed in nerd-tastic costuming.

As the Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF) super PAC continues to pour up to $1.1 million into ads targeting Ossoff, they’ve now released a new spot that takes aim at his “dishonest resume claims.”

“Jon Ossoff lied about his resume. And at a time where America needs serious, honest leadership, Jon Ossoff fails the test,” the ad says.

The PAC references an ad released by Ossoff’s campaign, which positions the Democrat front runner as an authority on national security issues. CLF says the claim is false.

“As he continues to mislead Georgia voters about his lack of experience, it is clear that Jon Ossoff will do or say anything to get elected. The truth is Jon Ossoff has a better chance of being cast as Han Solo in the next Star Wars movie than representing the 6th district in Congress,” said Courtney Alexander, CLF spokeswoman.

In February, a zpolitics and Clout Research poll found that Ossoff currently leads the 18-person race with 32 percent support. Behind him is former Republican Secretary of State Handel, who holds 25 percent support, while John’s Creek Councilman Bob Gray was favored by 11 percent of respondents.

You can check out the new ad above.

HOW did he lie on his resume? Will these toads answer that in their next ad? I won’t be voting for Ossoff, but I prefer humorous ads that actually contain facts. I don’t care that he dressed up in Han Solo costume in college.
