Former State Senator and congressional hopeful Dan Moody wants voters to know he’s ready to shovel “Shhh” in D.C.

A new ad (titled “Shhh”), shows the candidate picking up after the mess made by donkeys- Democrats who “miss the president’s great ideas- and elephants- Republicans who are “struggling with the changes that could occur.” Moody says the humor-filled spot is meant to highlight his record of “joyfully doing the hard stuff.”

“Washington has been all talk lately – loud, partisan, bitter and ineffective talk,” Moody said.  “We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of conservative governance to make real change.  I’ll leave the speeches and press conferences to others and roll up my sleeves to do the actual work needed in our nation’s capitol.”

In a subtle jab at former Secretary of State Karen Handel, the ad depicts an elephant wearing pearls.

“In this time of change, neither Georgia nor America need another career politician,” the ad says.  “We need someone who won’t just talk about conservative ideas, but can quietly make them work.”

The ad will run beginning today on broadcast and cable television.

In mid-February, a zpolitics and Clout Research poll found that Moody had 2 percent support among a field of 18 candidates. Leading the GOP field is Karen Handel, who held 25 percent support.

The special election will take place on April 18th, with a runoff set for June 20th. The District includes Cobb, DeKalb, and Fulton counties.
