Exclusive: Mayor Kasim Reed “Sits Down” with ZPolitics

With a thin Democrat bench in Georgia, the “non partisan” Democratic Mayor of Atlanta, Kasim Reed is in many ways the “last Democrat standing.”  Assured reelection to the Mayor’s office this November, we sat down with him and ask him about the Savannah Port, security for the Peachtree Road Race in the wake of Boston, his relationship with Governor Deal, his relationship with President Obama and what he thinks about Rep. John Barrow deciding not to run for the U.S. Senate.

I’ve known Mayor Reed for many years and it’s good to catch up.
