GA GOP Chairman John Padgett on Governor Deal

On the same day that David Pennington made a soft landing into the Republican race for Governor, Georgia GOP Chairman released this statement:


“The Rules of the GAGOP clearly prohibit the Party from engaging or endorsing in any Republican Primary contest,” said Padgett.  “However, on a personal level, I am a strong supporter of Governor Deal’s conservative leadership and appreciate his efforts to transform Georgia into the number one destination for job creation and business growth in the country.

“From maintaining our AAA bond rating to making commonsense reforms to our state budget and corrections system, the Governor has done an exceptional job leading Georgia forward.”

    I acknowledge that Gov. Deal has accomplished some good things for Georgia. However, for the sake of our children and grandchildren, he must seek to completely stop the Common Core Curriculum in our schools once and for all.
