ATLANTA – The Green Tea Coalition will host a rally at the Georgia State Capitol in support of a Utility Customers Bill of Rights to look out for the best interests of utility customers and to advocate for energy freedom and choice for captive utility customers. Please invite everyone interested in energy freedom. The rally is open to the public and will be held on the steps of the Georgia Capitol, Washington Street side. Rep. Jeff Chapman will give an update on his bill to limit profit on cost over runs at Georgia Power’s Plant Vogtle construction. We will hear from other leaders as well.
The Green Tea Coalition strives to find common ground among members from across the political spectrum to educate and empower American consumers, advocate for common-sense energy policy, and unlock the full potential of America’s energy future. We believe all energy should compete on a level playing field in the market and the market should decide the best energy choice-not government.
The work of the Green Tea Coalition will be featured in a new documentary film by award-winning producer/director Robert Kenner, who will be onsite filming the rally.
