Report from the first GAGOP primary debate

Last night in Adel, Georgia, hundreds gathered to see 7 of the 8 announced candidates for United States Senate to replace retiring Sen. Saxby Chambliss.  It was a diverse field of candidates.

On balance, there were no fireworks, but this field is a little like the 1960′s Mod Squad TV show. There were two congressmen, a businessman, a lawyer, a woman and two minority candidates.

All announced candidates, except Phil Gingrey, attended.

Jeremy Redmon on the AJC was there and I was moderating.  Also, Todd Rehm and Jeff Breedlove of Georgia Pundit were there.  We’ve included their reports below.
